I am enjoying my Aurora 88, black satin fountain pen, with a fine nib. The satin finish looks classy and feels good in the hand. The rose gold nib, band and clip make it stand out. It is not a clone of the common black and gold pens. The fine nib is wider than many fines, and that suits me just fine. There is a touch of feedback to the nib — less than Sailor nibs, but more than many others. The piston works well. I’m happy with my purchase.

I purchased an Esterbrook Estie Avalanche edition pen from Bertram Inkwell online. The site is well laid out and easy to use, they shipped quickly, and upon arrival I found a special edition ink bottle tucked in my box for free. The pen works well and writes so smoothly. I watched the You Tube reviews but till you hold one it’s not the same. Love the click when closing the pen. It has a large number 6 nib and writing is an experience with this pen in a good way. Depending on your preference the ink is slightly broad with a medium nib. No scratchiness and the ink flow is consistent. Wish there was a click when posting but it’s good enough as is and remains posted . Girthy but no overly heavy as I bought the Factory model and no slippage when writing. Very cool well crafted pen. Bertram’s Inkwell delivered quickly with a nice handwritten thank you note so support small business if you can. Thanks Mark G

I ordered this pen in Fine. It writes beautifully with a smooth steady flow of ink. While the pen is full-size, it is very lightweight due to the carbon fiber material. I bought last year’s Carbon Moire edition and enjoy writing with both of them. Well done!

This pen is breathtakingly beautiful. Half demonstrator, half normal, all amazing. The design matches its legacy even better than the Glauco Cambon, yet the color choice of red, green, and gold are so much more complimentary than the original Rudi Rother teals. Bertram's Inkwall was superb it its handling of the pen and shipping.

I have been using it in a Platinum pen with an EF nib, the ink is wet enough to flow evenly, provide some sheen but not the super sheening that is seen with larger nibs. The dark blue green of the ink really comes through, you may even see a hint of greenish dusky blue grey. Using the ef nib also counters the drying and smeering issues seen when using broader nibs

If you collect the TWSBI Eco, as I do, where do you draw the line? They come up with so many interesting options it can be hard to discipline yourself. In the case of the Eco Carrara and Onyx version, go for it! You get the well-known reliable TWSBI writing experience in a very handsome form.
