Well, November is here and the Holidays are soon
upon us. Which means the Bertram's Inkwell 17th
Annual Pen Fair is here! This Saturday, November
5th in our White Flint Location from 11:00-5:00, Pen
companiies from around the world will be represented
by the folks who bring these beauties to us. Too
many to name in this space, but if you want to see it
and touch and feel it at a great price, Saturday the
5th is the time.
See pens we normally don't carry. Ask questions to
representatives. This is a very exiting day for me
because I get to meet and greet customers I only
see at this event. Please stop by, have a drink and
something to eat.
I started this show without any idea what would
happen. Honestly some representatives were not too
keen on the idea in the first years, but time has
proven them wrong. The support, attendance and
enthusiasm for this show make it by far the busiest
and most attended show in the Washington, DC
Metro Area. I'll have most stock on sale, offering
prices I don't even want to post (you can call on
Friday).
I hope to see you on Saturday! Bring in your pens
you no longer use and perhaps we can make a trade
in on a new Waterman or Mont Blanc. Maybe a Cross
or Parker...Well this could go on and on. I'll see you
Saturday the 5th. at White Flint!

about pens he has even been an expert witness in a
court case!
Q: How do I travel by air with my fountain pen?
A: You don't need to worry about traveling
by air with modern fountain pens. Today's fountain
pens have intricate feed systems and are tested at
pressures equivalent to that of a airplane cabin. As
long as you keep the pen in an upright position, you
should have no problems.
With antique fountain pens that use a bladder for ink,
I recommend emptying the pen prior to travel and
then filling it again at your destination.
